Caroline Dykstra has worked with the athletics program at Hope College since fall 2011. She oversees promotions and special events for all 22 varsity athletic teams.
In addition to her work with promotions, Dykstra is the director of the SEED (Sport Evangelism to Equip Disciples) program and organizes international sport mission trips for student-athletes.
Dykstra also serves as the advisor to the Athletes Coming Together/Student Athlete Advisory Committee, where she leads a group of student-athletes who are committed to making a difference on their teams and in the Hope athletic community.
Dykstra graduated from Wheaton (Ill.) College in 2011 with a B.A. in Communication. During her time at Wheaton, Hannema was a two-sport athlete, as a member of the swim team and water polo team.
Competing for the Thunder swim team, Dykstra earned all-conference honors during her sophomore and junior seasons, was a member of four College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin championship teams and was selected as team captain her senior year.
Dykema started for the Thunder water polo team during her junior and senior seasons. As a junior, the team earned an at-large bid to the National Tournament for the Collegiate Water Polo Association.
Dykstra received her M.A. in Sport Management from Western Michigan University in 2016.
Dykstra served as the assistant to the athletic directors and assistant coach for the Hope swimming and diving teams from 2011 to 2016.
