Hope Men's Golf Takes Fourth At 16-Team Collins Memorial
The Hope College men's golf team placed fourth at the Olivet College Lou Collins Memorial Tournament in Battle Creek.
The Flying Dutchmen shot a 36-hole team score of 611 at Bedford Valley Country Club.
Junior Paul Bardenhagen of Cedar, Michigan (Leland HS) finished seven-over-par over 36 holes with a 151. He tied for 17th overall after shooting a 77 during the final round.
Senior Ben Lewis of Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), tied for 24th at 10-over. He carded a 75 on Saturday.
Sophomore Winton Munch of Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City Central HS), shot a 74 during the second round after not playing on Friday.
Seniors Ben Lanting of Littleton, Colorado (Front Range Christian HS), and Evan Telzerow of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS), both came in one shot behind Lewis for the tournament. Lanting recorded a 77 on Saturday, while Telzerow had an 81.
