The Hope College men's golf team got in the spirit of the Ryder Cup on Saturday and competed in an alternate-style format in Angola, Indiana.
The Flying Dutchmen topped a field of nine different teams at the Ken Venturi Invitational by posting a winning score of 199. They finished three ahead of host Trine's A team.
Tournament play featured three different styles: scramble for the first six holes, better ball for the next and alternate shot for the final six.
Senior Winton Munch of Traverse City, Michigan (Central) and freshman Daniel Setticerri of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Bloomfield Hills) led the Flying Dutchmen with a total of 64.
Hope returns to action on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 7-8 at the 36-hole Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship at Battle Creek Country Club.
