Flying Dutchmen Lose On The Road In Men's Lacrosse

Niko Pagkanlungan and Gunnar Elder both scored twice for the Hope College men's lacrosse team during an 11-6 loss at Southwestern (Texas) on Saturday.

The Flying Dutchmen fell to 0-3 on the season after the nonleague defeat.

Elder, a freshman from East Grand Rapids (East Grand Rapids HS), leads Hope with four goals this season. Pagkanlungan, a senior from Naples, Fla. (Barron Collier HS), shares the team lead with three assists.

Hope could not overcome a 4-0 deficit after the opening period.

Freshman goalie Connor Miedema of Holland (Holland Christian HS) made 10 saves for the Flying Dutchmen.
