Flying Dutchmen Enjoy Record-Setting Lacrosse Win At Calvin

Caleb Digison, Jacob Kamstra and the Hope College men's lacrosse team all landed varsity scoring records as the Flying Dutchmen cruised to a 23-3 win at Calvin College on Wednesday.

The Flying Dutchmen set a varsity record for goals in a match, while Kamstra, a senior forward from Zeeland (Zeeland East HS), passed his own record with 11 points on four goals and seven assists.

Digison, a junior attack from Midland (Midland HS), equaled Kamstra's record eight goals for an individual player against Wilmington College on March 18, 2013.

Hope improved to 5-7 overall and 2-3 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play. The Flying Dutchmen are tied for fourth player with one league match remaining.

Freshman Gunnar Elder of East Grand Rapids (East Grand Rapids HS) chipped in four goals and three assists for Hope.

Senior Michael Schofield of Mendham, N.J. (Mendham HS) and sophomore Parker Osterink of Longwood, Fla. (Seminole HS) each scored twice for the Flying Dutchmen. | PO Box 9000, Holland, Michigan 49422
