James Reymann scored his first goal of the season for the Hope College men's soccer team in a 2-1 loss at Olivet on Wednesday.
The sophomore from Columbus, Ohio (Worthington Kilbourne HS) gave the Flying Dutchmen a 1-0 lead 5 minutes, 48 seconds into the first half of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match.
Reymann also has a team-high three assists on the season.
Olivet (3-9-1 overall, 3-3-1 MIAA) overtook Hope by scoring twice in a span of 11:43 late in the second half, including the game-winner with 12:45 remaining.
The Flying Dutchmen are now 3-9 overall and 1-6 in MIAA matches.
Hope returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 with a 7 p.m. match against Alma. It is Youth Night. There will be a free team poster giveaway and autographs after the match.
