Welcome to tonight's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer match between the Hope College Flying Dutchmen and Olivet College Comets at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
Hope can leapfrog Olivet for sixth place in the MIAA standings with a win tonight. The Flying Dutchmen (5-12-1 overall, 3-9-1 MIAA) could earn an extra point toward the MIAA Commissioner's Cup standings. Hope finished 1 ½ points out of first place in the 2015-16 Commissioner's Cup standings.
The Flying Dutchmen (5-12-1 overall) are coming off a scoreless draw against Kalamazoo on Tuesday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium. Hope is 3-9-1 in league matches this season.
Olivet brings in a 3-14-2 overall record and a 3-8-2 mark in MIAA play. The Comets dropped their last match 3-0 at Adrian on Tuesday.
This is the 87th all-time match between Hope and Olivet. The Flying Dutchmen lead the series 70-15-1 but lost 2-1 at Olivet on October 5.
