MIAA Field Day Preview: Men's and Women's Track & Field At Calvin

The Hope College men's and women's track & field teams will participate in the 126th Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day on Thursday-Friday, May 4-5 at Calvin College.

The competition begins at 1 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.

Hope holds the top seeds in four events.

The Flying Dutch have three:

Senior Erin Herrmann of Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 10 minutes, 27.23 seconds

Junior Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville) in the 800 meters at 2:16.04.

Freshman Mitchel Achien'g of Nairobi, Kenya (Kisumu) in the 100 meters at 13.45 seconds.

In the men's 800 meters, senior Nicholas Salomon of Troy, Michigan (Detroit Jesuit) is seeded first at 1:51.96.
