Brandon Wolliston Clocks Season-Best Time In 400 Meters At Gregory Invitational

Hope College's Brandon Wolliston placed fifth in the 400 meters at the North Central College Dr. Gregory, Invitational in Naperville, Illinois on Thursday.

The senior from Remus, Michigan (Chippewa Hills HS) clocked a season-best time of 48.67 seconds during the non-scoring meet that was the final competition before the NCAA Division III Championship field is announced on Sunday.

Wolliston, pictured, came close to surpassing the 27-year-old school record of 48.49 held by Phil Cratty.

Freshman Joshua Izenbart of Glenwood, Illinois (Homewood-Flossmoor) took seventh in the decathlon with a score of 5,850 points.

Senior Ben Seppa of Jackson, Michigan (Jackson) placed 18th in the 200 meters with a run of 22.58.

Senior Tyler Brinks of Commerce Township, Michigan (Walled Lake Northern) was 21st in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:55.60.
