The Hope College women's lacrosse team defeated Defiance (Ohio) College 16-8 on Saturday at Van Andel Stadium and pushed its win streak to two matches.
The Flying Dutch (2-3 overall) came within one goal of matching their season-high for goals during the nonleague victory.
Junior midfielder Molly Greenfield of Georgetown, Texas (Georgetown HS) topped Hope with a match-high five goals and eight groundballs.
Senior attack Olivia Keinath of Blissfield (Blissfield HS) chipped in four goals for the Flying Dutch, who jumped to a 9-3 halftime lead against Defiance (1-7). Senior attack Ally DeMaagd of Woodland (Barry County Christian HS) scored three times.
Sophomore goalie Racquel Harrouk of Grosse Pointe Woods (Grosse Pointe North HS) evened her record at 2-2 by making two saves while playing in the first half.
