The Hope College women's lacrosse team used three-goal games from two players to edge Kalamazoo College 10-9 on Saturday.
The visiting Flying Dutch withstood two goals from the Hornets during the final 4 minutes, 13 seconds to raise their record to 5-7 overall and 3-4 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.
Sophomore attack Emily Oliver of Springfield, Va. (Annandalle HS) and junior Molly Greenfield of Georgetown, Texas (Georgetown HS), both scored three times to lead Hope. Oliver's goal with 7 minutes, 50 seconds remaining put the Flying Dutch ahead 10-7.
Senior midfielder Laurie Stubenrauch of Huntington Station, N.Y. (Walt Whitman HS), netted two goals for Hope.
Sophomore goalie Racquel Harrouk of Grosse Pointe Woods (Grosse Pointe North HS) made 10 saves for the Flying Dutch.
