Women's Soccer Tops Unbeaten Olivet With Fourth Consecutive Shutout

The Hope College women's soccer team pushed its scoreless streak to 373 minutes with a 4-0 win at Olivet on Monday.

Freshman goalie Jordanne Ellingboe of Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS) recorded eight saves as the Flying Dutch shut out a fourth consecutive opponent. Hope has not yielded goal since the 76:48 mark in the season opener at Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Hope improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.

Four different Flying Dutch players scored against the Comets (4-1, 2-1 MIAA).

Senior Erin Brophy of West Lafayette, Indiana (West Lafayette) opened the scoring 10 minutes into the match off an assist from senior Allie Wittenbach of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Central). It was Brophy's third goal of the season.

Junior Grace Bubin of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford) headed home a corner kick from Brophy 2 minutes, 51 seconds before halftime. It was Bubin's third goal of the season.

Juniors Kristen Marsman of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian) and Rachael Braginton of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) added unassisted goals after halftime.
