Why Hope I visited Hope College randomly in the spring of my senior year and absolutely fell in love with the community. I've never felt so welcomed somewhere, and that is still true today.
Future plans I am planning to go to graduate school to pursue a Master's Degree in Higher Education or Student Affairs. It's my dream to mentor and work with college students.
Favorite Bible verse "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" (Jeremiah 29:11).
Favorite place on campus There is a small prayer chapel in Graves called Schoon Chapel. It's a tranquil space to just relax, pray, and journal. There are lights hung up and there are pillows and blankets and the whole environment is just warm and peaceful. I love it.
Pre-match music Call it cliche, but there is nothing better to pump up to than "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes.
If you could do another sport Beach Volleyball. It's an awesome workout, you get to be outside/likely by the water, and you get to work closely with one person which I think creates a really unique bond.
Best advice received The best advice I have every received is to "be comfortable being uncomfortable." I think of that often. I have learned to appreciate feeling unsettled, it forces me to make positive changes and adaptions. This advice also helps me to feel at ease in times of trial or transition.
