The 23rd-ranked Hope College women's tennis team swept Edgewood, Wisconsin for a 9-0 victory on Saturday in Orlando, Florida.
The Flying Dutch won their spring break opener to raise their record to 4-2 overall.
Three Hope players claimed points in singles and doubles play: senior Nancy Benda of Birmingham, Michigan (Seaholm HS) at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, freshman Liz Pniewski of Lowell, Michigan (Grand Rapids Catholic Central) at No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles, and sophomore Erin LaBarge of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Edgewood fell to 10-9 on the season.
Hope returns to action on Monday, March 20 with a 1 p.m. match against Carthage, Wisconsin at the United States Tennis Association Lane Nona Training Center in Orlando.
