Katie Rietberg continues to rack up kills for the Hope College volleyball team.
The sophomore from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) totaled a team-high 12 kills for the sixth-ranked Flying Dutch during a 25-12, 25-19, 25-23 win against Albion on Wednesday at DeVos Fieldhouse.
Hope improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play. The Flying Dutch remained a half-game behind third-ranked Calvin in the league standings.
Wednesday marked the sixth consecutive match Rietberg, pictured, reached double-digits in kills this season. She is averaging 10.8 kills per match.
Hope hit .286 as a team to Albion's .076. Junior setter Sophia Hackett of Indianapolis, Indiana (Brebeuf Jesuit Prep) directed the offense with 35 assists while also collecting 21 digs.
Junior Haley Muller of Grand Rapids, Michigan (GR Christian) chipped in nine kills against Albion (4-4, 0-4 MIAA).
Senior Sarah Feldpausch of White Cloud, Michigan (White Cloud) added eight kills.
Hope returns to action on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16-17 at the DePauw Invitational and will play four matches over two days.
