Hope College basketball players Jason Beckman and Francesca Buchanan have received all-region honors from D3hoops.com.
Both are second-team selections in the Great Lakes Region. Fifteen student-athletes in each gender from the Great Lakes Region were recognized.
Beckman, a guard, led the Flying Dutchmen in scoring this season at 20.3 points per game.
The senior from Shelby, Michigan (Shelby HS) scored in double figures in 22 of the 24 games he played, including a season-high of 38 against Alma College on February 9 at DeVos Fieldhouse.
Beckman concluded his two-year Hope career with 1,132 career points - good for 30th place among the Flying Dutchmen's career scoring leaders.
Buchanan, a forward, topped the Flying Dutch in scoring at 14.4 points per game and in rebounding at 6.8 per game.
The senior from Grant, Michigan (Sparta HS) reached double figures in scoring in 22 of the 29 games she played, including a season-high of 27 at Trine University on January 26. Buchanan helped Hope reach the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Buchanan finished her career second among Flying Dutch scorers with 1,476 points and seventh among rebounds with 710.
Buchanan has been selected to play in the inaugural Women's Collegiate NCAA Division III All-Star Game presented by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Saturday, March 16 in Salem, Virginia.
