Evan Maday Gets Four-Hit Game In Loss To Hamilton

Centerfielder Evan Maday of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Kentwood HS) contributed a four-hit game for the Hope College baseball team during 11-7 and 11-5 losses to Hamilton on Tuesday in Winter Haven, Florida.

Maday, pictured, went 4-for-4 with two RBIs in Game 1. The Flying Dutchmen could not overcome a six-run top of the second inning that put Hamilton ahead 6-1.

In Game 2, designated hitter Cal Barrett of Chelsea, Michigan (Chelsea HS) of Glen Ellyn, Illinois (Glenbard West) and rightfielder Jonathan Sojka both had RBI doubles against Hamilton (3-7).

The Flying Dutchmen (2-7) wrap up their spring trip on Wednesday with a single game against Wisconsin-Whitewater.
