Michael Stephan '17 entered his first season as offensive line coach for Hope College Football in the 2018 season. He was the assistant offensive line coach in 2017 after a successful four-year career with the Flying Dutchmen.
Stephen played for the Flying Dutchmen for four seasons (2013-16). He earned D3football.com All-Region third-team and All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association First-Team honors as a senior. A center, he anchored an offensive line that rushed for a school-record 2,738 yards over 10 games as Hope posted the greatest single-season turnaround with a 7-3 overall record. He helped paved the way for two 1,000-yard rushers in Brandon Campbell and Mike Miklusicak — a first in a single-season at Hope.
