Men's Golf Places Runner-Up At MIAA Jamboree In Alma

The Hope College men's golf team took second at the second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree of the season on Saturday in Alma.

The Flying Dutchmen carded a team score of 292 and finished five strokes behind first-place Calvin. The two teams tied for first at the league's first jamboree on Tuesday.

Juniors Josh Gibson of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS) and Ben Kramer of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake) each shot even-par 72s at Pine River Country Club to tie for sixth place.

Junior Andrew Goble of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton) and sophomore Daniel Settecerri of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Bloomfield Hills) both recorded 74s to tie for 11th and round out Hope's scoring.

Sophomore Noah Weigle of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) played as an individual and shot a 73.

Senior Kade Hoeksema of Byron Center, Michigan (Byron Center) had a 77.
