Why did you choose to attend Hope College? I chose to attend Hope because I could grow as a Christian, student, and athlete. The community and campus make one of the best locations to study, play golf, and meet genuine people. The athletic opportunities at Hope to compete at the national level, while receiving a fantastic undergraduate education in many specialties make Hope a smart choice.
What were your favorite subjects in high school? Chemistry, Biology
Name a role model or models who have impacted your life? And describe how. My older brother, Andrew, is an important role model for me. Growing up, we played hockey and golf a lot together. During this time, he taught me a lot about competition, self-belief, and being a Christian athlete. He faced a lot of adversity in athletics, but was willing to work hard to get through those struggles. His constructive criticism and advice has helped make me who I am as a student and golfer.
List a favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." I am especially fond of this verse because of the three part application to my life. I am able to rejoice with the family and talents that I have been given to show God's love to those around me. The idea of praying continually excites me and reminds me that I always can turn to God with every worry and celebration. I think giving thanks is the most important part of the verse. First, paying respect to Jesus for His ultimate reconciliatory action and also showing gratitude to my family and friends.

If you could play another sport, regardless of skill, what would it be and why? I would play hockey if I did not play golf. I used to play when I was younger and I always loved it.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received? "Treat every shot like it is your last, because you do not know if it will be."
