Men's Golf Places Runner-Up At 36-Hole Aurora Invitational

Josh Gibson shot 4-under-par at the 36-hole Aurora University (Illinois) Double Gun Invitational on Tuesday to lead the Hope College men's golf team to a second-place finish.

The senior from Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS) carded rounds of 4-under-par 68 and 72 to place third individually in the 17-team event.

The ninth-ranked Flying Dutchmen recorded rounds of 285 and 292 on Tuesday for a total of 577 that was five strokes behind the host Spartans.

Junior Daniel Settecerri of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Bloomfield Hills) finished fourth at 3-under. He shot rounds of 70 and 71.

Junior Noah Weigle of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) tied for 10th at 4-over. He had rounds of 70 and 76.

Senior Andrew Goble of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton) rounded out Hope's scoring at 6-over (77-73). He tied for 19th.

Sophomore Luke Tapani of Wayzata, Minnesota (Providence Academy) tied for 27th at 9-over (77-76).
