Men's Lacrosse Gets Record-Tying Performance In Win From Rocco Mularoni

Rocco Mularoni equaled a Hope College goal record to lead the Flying Dutchmen lacrosse team to a 15-8 victory against Benedictine, Illinois at home on Saturday.

The sophomore from Hartland, Michigan (Detroit Catholic Central) HS) scored a game-high seven goals that tied for the most ever by a Hope player at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

Mularoni, pictured, equaled Caleb Digison's 2014 performance vs. Dubuque, Iowa and Gunner Elder's 2015 effort vs. Defiance.

The school record for most goals in any match by a Flying Dutchmen player is eight.

Hope (3-1 overall) extended its win streak to three matches.

Mularoni scored six times during the first half en route to a 12-3 halftime lead.

Sophomore Max Kuiper of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central HS) chipped in two goals and two assists.

Goalie Nick Schanhals of North Muskegon, Michigan (North Muskegon) made 10 saves for Hope.
