David White Kicks Men's Soccer Past Albion In Overtime

David White scored twice over the final 14 ½ minutes, including the game-winner in overtime, to lift the Hope College men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory at Albion on Tuesday.

The senior co-captain from Vernon Hills, Illinois (Vernon Hills HS) gave the Flying Dutchmen their second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association of the season 1 minute, 56 seconds into overtime off an assist from junior Devon Butler of New Baltimore, Michigan (Anchor Bay).

The Flying Dutchmen improved to 2-1 in MIAA play and 3-4 overall.

Sophomore goalie Blair McCormick of Wadsworth, Illinois (Warren Township) made two saves for the Flying Dutchmen.

White, pictured, evened the score in the 78th minute. His goal was set up by a double assist from junior James Reymann of Columbus, Ohio (Worthington Kilbourne) and sophomore Dalton Bruso of Bloomington, Illinois (Normal Community).

Albion (4-2-1, 1-2 MIAA) had broken a scoreless tie four minutes earlier.
