The Hope College men's soccer team was edged 2-1 in overtime at Kalamazoo College on Thursday in a makeup game.
Junior James Reymann of Columbus, Ohio (Worthington Kilbourne HS) sent the game to overtime for the Flying Dutchmen by converting a penalty kick with 16 minutes, 11 seconds in regulation.
Reymann's third goal of the season tied the score at 1-1.
Thomas Bryant delivered the game-winning goal with 10 seconds remaining in the first 10-minute overtime session for Kalamazoo (8-5-2, 7-3-1 MIAA).
Hope fell to 6-7-2 overall and 5-4-2 in MIAA play.
The match was originally scheduled to be played on October 21 but was delayed due to lightning.
The Flying Dutchmen's next match is Saturday at 2:30 p.m. against Trine at Van Andel Soccer Stadium. It is Senior Day.
