The Hope College men's soccer team starts Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play Wednesday at rival Calvin College in a matchup of nationally ranked teams.
The MIAA opener begins at 7 p.m. at Calvin's Zuidema Field. Find links for live video and live stats above.
Hope is off to a 9-0 start to the season — its best beginning since 1996 when the Flying Dutchmen opened 15-0-1. Calvin is 8-1 overall.

Both teams are ranked in the United Soccer Coaches and D3soccer.com polls. Hope moved up this week five spots to 16th in the coaches poll and five spots in the media poll to 14th. Calvin is fourth in the coaches poll and third in the media poll.
This is the 105th Hope-Calvin soccer match. Calvin leads the all-time series 58-34-12.
Hope played top-ranked Calvin to a 1-1 draw their last meeting. On October 11, 2017, James Reymann scored the tying goal in the second half for the Flying Dutchmen at Van Andel Soccer Stadium. Goalie Blair McCormack made seven saves for Hope.
Hope has scored 30 goals this season — second-most in the MIAA behind Calvin's 34. Ten different Flying Dutchmen have scored at least one goal this season.
Hope's 22 assists are the second-highest in the MIAA to Calvin's 28. James Reymann ranks third with five assists. Jordan Hooker is fourth with four. Eleven different Flying Dutchmen have recorded at least one assist.
Dave Brandt is in his first season as head coach of the Flying Dutchmen. He brings his championship pedigree to Hope College after successful stops at Division III Messiah College (Pa.), and the Division I United States Naval Academy (Md.). He won six NCAA Division III national championships in 12 seasons at Messiah and guided Navy to its first postseason win in 41 years. He also coached professionally in the United Soccer League for Pittsburgh.
