The Hope College men's soccer team generated a healthy edge in shots against Ohio Northern on Friday night.
The Flying Dutchmen just couldn't take advantage of their opportunities.
Hope suffered its first loss of the season with a 2-0 decision at Ohio Northern. The Flying Dutchmen fell to 2-1 on the season after the non-league defeat in Ada, Ohio.
The next match for Hope is Saturday, September 7 against Transylvania University (Kentucky). Kickoff is 5 p.m. at Ohio Northern.
Against Ohio Northern, Hope earned a 19-9 edge in shots.
The Flying Dutchmen outshot Ohio Northern by an 11-3 margin during the second half.
Both teams finished with six shots on goal. Ohio Northern (1-1-1 overall) converted two chances within a span of six minutes early in the second half.
