The Hope College men's soccer team erupted for a 10-0 victory at Olivet College on Wednesday.
The Flying Dutchmen scored five times in each half as they received goals from eight different players and an own goal from the Comets.
Hope improved to 9-5 overall and 2-1 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings.
Freshman midfielder Nic Kubert of Rochester Hills, Michigan (Avondale HS) scored in each half and led the Flying Dutchmen with two goals. He also assisted on a second-half goal from sophomore forward Caleb Schoon from Ludington, Michigan (Ludington).
Senior defender Dalton Bruso of Bloomington, Illinois (Normal Community) registered a match-high two assists.

Hope outshot Olivet by a 35-4 margin.
The Flying Dutchmen also received goals from senior forward Logan Bylsma of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville), junior midfielder Ty Dalton of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford), sophomore midfielder Ryan Flynn of Bloomington, Illinois (Bloomington), junior defender Connor Fowler of Victoria, Minnesota (Holy Family Catholic), freshman midfielder Kai Jurgle of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Skyline) and freshman forward Luke Rockwood on Cincinnati, Ohio (St. Xavier).
The 10 goals were the most the Flying Dutchmen scored in a match since a 9-1 victory against Milwaukee School of Engineering on September 4, 2010.
The shutout was Hope's eighth of the season.
Olivet fell to 4-8-1 overall and 1-2 in MIAA matches.
Hope's next match is Saturday, October 19 at home against Albion College. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
