Dave Blahnik joined the Hope College Men’s Soccer staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2019 season.
Blahnik spent six seasons as head coach at NAIA Olivet Nazarene University where he led his alma mater to an 83-32-13 overall record and five postseason appearances. He also guided Olivet Nazarene to four Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championships and two CCAC regular-season titles. He was chosen CCAC Coach of the Year twice (2014 and 2016).
Blahnik holds from the United Soccer Coaches a Premier Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma and Goalkeeping Level III Diploma.
As a player, Blahnik was a two-time, all-conference player at Olivet Nazarene. He also was a two-time team captain. He went to earn a bachelor’s degree in sports management and a master’s in business administration from Olivet Nazarene.

Blahnik works in the soccer and sporting goods industry as a national account executive for Diehard Services.
His wife, Karlynn, is a kindergarten teacher in the Hamilton school district. The couple has two sons, Brek and Koen.
