The Hope College men's and women's swimming & diving teams are hosting the 2019 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday-Saturday, February 20-23 at Holland Community Aquatic Center.
The four-day event begins on Wednesday at 6 p.m. with a Special Olympics 100-yard freestyle relay.
Action continues on Thursday-Saturday with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. All-session passes are $40 for adults and $20 for non-MIAA students. Individual session passes are $9 for adults and $5 for non-MIAA students.
Sophomore Daniel Keith of Saline, Michigan (Saline HS) leads the Flying Dutchmen.
Keith ranks among the MIAA leaders in five different events. He is first in the 200-yard individual medley with a regular-season swim of 1 minute, 52.52 seconds.
Keith also owns the second-fastest performances in the 200 freestyle at 1:41.57 and the 200 backstroke at 1:53.11.
Junior Daniel Clyde of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Huron) is third in the 200 individual medley at 1:54.84.
Senior Brian Simonich of Highland, Michigan (Huron) is second in 3-meter diving with a score of 463.35 points. Sophomore Grant Williams of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids) is third with a total of 449.90.
Williams ranks second in 1-meter diving with a score of 456.75. Simonich is third at 422.60.
