Hope College's Daniel Keith has been chosen as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Swimmer of the Week.
The junior from Saline, Michigan (Saline HS) clocked some of the fastest times in NCAA Division III during the season-opening Oakland University Relays on Saturday.
Keith led off four relays and recorded splits that ranked third in the nation in the 200-yard freestyle at 1 minute, 43.65 seconds, third in the 100 backstroke at 52.69 seconds, third in the 50 freestyle at 21.56 seconds and fifth in the 100 freestyle at 47.17 seconds.
Keith competed in five events during the meet.
This is the fourth time in his career Keith has been named the MIAA Men's Swimmer of the Week and the first time this season.
