The Hope College men's swimming and diving team totaled a runner-up score of 566.5 points at the Michigan Illinois Quad on Saturday.
The four-team meet was held at two locations because of a winter storm. Hope and Kalamazoo went to Holland Community Aquatic Center, the original host, while Lake Forest University (Illinois) competed at Wheaton College (Illinois).
Kalamazoo finished first with 584.5 points. Wheaton scored 471 points for third place. Lake Forest had 303.
At Holland Community Aquatic Center, Hope recorded seven of the top performances.
Junior Daniel Keith of Saline, Michigan (Saline HS) won the 100-yard freestyle in 47.15 seconds and the 200 freestyle in 1:46.06.
Keith led a 1-2-3 Hope finish in the 200 freestyle. He was followed by runner-up Brant Assink of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian) at 1:51.08 and third-place Daniel Clyde of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Huron) at 1:51.33.
Senior Seth Costello, pictured, of Williamston, Michigan (Williamston) clocked the top 200 backstroke of 2:04.27.
Freshman Gabe Boonstra of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) and junior Will Benner of State College, Pennsylvania (State College Area) went 1-2 in the 500 freestyle at 5:03.67 and 5:05.24, respectively.
Freshman Theo Duong of Kentwood, Michigan (East Kentwood) swam the fastest in the 1,000 freestyle in 10:12.59.
The 400 freestyle relay of freshman JT Nissen of Spring, Texas (Klein Collins), freshman Bailey Smith of Battle Creek, Michigan (Lakeview), Boonstra and Brant Assink touched the finish line first at 3:14.85.
Diver Kamaron Wilcox of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central) had the best 1-meter dive score of 426.70 points.
Hope's next meet is the two-day quad at Hudsonville High School on Friday-Saturday, January 17-18 against Albion College, DePauw University (Indiana) and Franklin College (Indiana).
