The Hope College men's swimming and diving team scored 711 points to place third overall at the two-day quad at Hudsonville High School.
Albion College won with 919.5 points. DePauw University (Indiana) came in second with 747.5 points. Franklin College (Indiana) was fourth with 689.
The Flying Dutchmen won six events.
Senior Skylar De La Torre of St. Joseph, Michigan (Lakeshore HS) took first place in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 18 minutes, 14.16 seconds.
Junior Daniel Keith of Saline, Michigan (Saline HS) recorded first-place finishes in the 200 individual medley of 1:54.71 as well as the 200 breaststroke at 1:53.89.
Freshman Gabe Boonstra from Hudsonville Michigan, (Hudsonville) won the 50-yard freestyle in 21.71 seconds and the 100 freestyle at 47.55.
Freshman Bailey Smith of Battle Creek, Michigan (Lakeview) finished first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:47.19.
Freshman Jack Muller of Queensland, Australia (Meridan State) clocked a runner-up 100 breaststroke swim of 1:01.11.
Senior Daniel Clyde of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Huron) finished strong in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:22:07, clinching second place.
Diver Kamaron Wilcox of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central) was second in 3-meter diving with a score of 432.30 points.
The Flying Dutchmen also helped Michigan swimmers win all of the exhibition relays over Indiana: 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, 200 medley and 400 medley.
Hope's next meets are Saturday, January 25 at both Alma College and at East Kentwood High School against Davenport University and Saginaw Valley State University.
