Men's Tennis Falls To Kalamazoo In MIAA Tournament Final

The Hope College men's tennis team fell to Kalamazoo College, 5-0, in the championship match of the MIAA Tournament.

The Flying Dutchmen finished the season with a 12-10 overall.

It is Hope's highest win total since the 2012-13 season.

Hope's closest matches came during doubles play.

The Flying Dutchmen's No. 1 pairing of senior Mark VanderStoep of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) and junior Danny Kroeze of Holland, MIchigan (Holland Christian) lost, 8-6, to Kalamazoo's Ian Yi and Daniel Henry.

Hope's No. 2 pairing of seniors Michael Kiley of Muskegon, Michigan (Mona Shores) and Tim Roe of Bakersfield, California (Frontier) fell, 8-5, to Kalamazoo's Allen Vinson and Zach Ray.
