Hope College's Owen Ljung is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
The junior from Sonoma, California is recognized after placing third in the 800 meters at the Emory College Invitational on Saturday in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ljung clocked a time of 1 minute, 53.81 seconds.
He also ran on Hope's sixth-place 4x400 relay that posted a time of 3:24.33.
Ljung helped the Flying Dutchmen place fifth out of 31 scoring teams at the Emory meet.
This is the first time Ljung has been selected the MIAA Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
