Justin Freeman and Josh Izenbart Finish Competition At NCAA Track & Field Championships

Hope College sprinter Justin Freeman finishes 16th in the nation in both the 100- and 200-meter preliminaries at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio.

Teammate Josh Izenbart placed 18th in the decathlon at the meet.

Freeman clocked a time of 10.66 seconds in the 100 meters on Friday and 22.14 seconds in the 200.

The senior from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) did not advance to Saturday's final in either event.

Izenbart totaled 5,614 points in the decathlon.

The junior from Glenwood, Illinois (Homewood-Flossmoor) recorded his top performance in the high jump with a runner-up leap of 1.99 meters (6 feet, 6 ¼ inches).

Izenbart also came in ninth in the both the javelin at 48.51 meters (159-02) and the 1,500-meter run at 4:46.04.
