The Hope College men's and women's track and field teams have claimed the United States Track and Field and Cross Coaches Association All-Academic Team honors for the 2019-20 school year.
Led by head coach Kevin Cole, the Flying Dutch recorded a 3.63 team grade point average, while the Flying Dutchmen posted a 3.37 team GPA.
"It is great as a coach to have so many incredible student-athletes on the track and field team every year," Cole said. "These individuals and teams represent some of the best combinations of scholarship and athletic ability in the whole country and really represent the goals of Hope College Athletics."
The Flying Dutch were among 209 NCAA Division III women's teams to be honored. The Flying Dutchmen were among 150 men's teams recognized.
To qualify for the award, teams must have a cumulative team GPA of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility of at least 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter.
