Hope Women's Basketball Heading To Thomas More For Sectional Play

The next road trip for the Hope College women's basketball team will to be to the Bluegrass State.

The Flying Dutch are heading to Thomas More College in the Cincinnati suburb of Crestview Hills, Kentucky, this weekend for sectional play in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Hope (25-4) will play St. Thomas, Minnesota (29-0) on Friday at 5 p.m.

Seating is limited. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and students. They can be purchased through the Hope Ticket Office beginning at noon on Tuesday, March 10. Call (616) 395-7890 for more information. There will be no online sales.

Top-ranked Thomas More (29-0) will face Washington-St. Louis (25-2) in the other sectional semifinal at 7:30 p.m.

Winners advance to Saturday's 7 p.m. national quarterfinal.

Ticket information also will be announced shortly.

Hope played in a sectional tournament at Thomas More in 2009. The Flying Dutch lost to eventual national champion George Fox, Oregon, in the national quarterfinal. 

This is Hope's eighth sectional appearance. The Flying Dutch are 8-5 in sectional games and won three sectionals.

The Flying Dutch are 18-10 all-time in NCAA games away from DeVos Fieldhouse.
