Women's Basketball Rises To No. 2 In National Rankings, Hosts MIAA Opener Wednesday

The Hope College women's basketball team moved up to No. 2 in this week's Women's Basketball Coaches Association and D3hoops.com NCAA Division III polls.

The Flying Dutch rose one spot in both rankings and trail only Bowdoin College (Maine).

Hope is off to a 3-0 start this season under head coach Brian Morehouse.

The Flying Dutch open Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play on Wednesday, November 28 at against Adrian College. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse.

Hope was last ranked No. 2 in the D3hoops poll on February 23, 2013, and No. 2 in the WBCA rankings on January 23 last season.

The Flying Dutch have appeared in 91 consecutive D3hoops polls — the third-longest streak in the nation behind Thomas More (Kentucky)'s 93 and Tufts (Massachusetts)' 92.

Hope has been in every D3hoops poll but one since the start of the 2005-06 season.

Through the 2017-18 season, the Flying Dutch have appeared in the D3hoops Top 25 a Division III-best 258 times.
