Women's Basketball Hosts Calvin For 123rd Matchup In The Rivalry

The eighth-ranked Hope College women's basketball team faces Calvin College in The Rivalry on Wednesday, February 6 at DeVos Fieldhouse.

Tipoffs are 7:30 p.m. for the varsity game and 5:15 p.m. for the junior varsity game.

Tickets can be purchased at the door.

This is the 123rd time Hope and Calvin have played each other in women's basketball. Hope trails in the series, 71-51.

Both Hope and Calvin have 50 wins since women's basketball became an official Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association sport during the 1978-79 school year.

Rivalry History

Hope won the first meeting this season, 50-38, at Calvin College on January 12. Francesca Buchanan lead the Flying Dutch with 25 points and 13 rebounds.

The Flying Dutch enter with an 18-3 record and a 10-2 league record that is good for second place in the MIAA standings.

Hope is tied for eighth in this week's Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll and 10th by d3hoops.com.

Calvin (10-12 overall) is tied for sixth place with a 6-8 league record.
