Women's Golf Defeats Olivet In Non-League Round

Jordyn Rioux and Megan Jenkinson finished one stroke apart while leading the Hope College women's golf team to a 339-353 victory against Olivet College on Saturday at The Ravines Golf Club.

Rioux, a sophomore from Farmington, Michigan (Livonia Ladywood HS), equaled the low round of the day by shooting a 10-over-par 82.

Jenkinson, a freshman from Traverse City, Michigan (T.C. West), carded an 83.

Sophomore Abigail Meder of Lansing, Michigan (Lansing Catholic Central) chipped in an 86 for the Flying Dutch.

Freshman Megan Radaz of Alma, Michigan (Alma) rounded out Hope's scoring with an 88.

The Flying Dutch also received a 95 from senior Ariana Stewart of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Comstock), a 97 from freshman Deanna DeLeeuw of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) and a 99 from freshman Lexi Miller of Bremen, Indiana (Bremen).

Hope next competes at a 36-hole, two-day event in Chicago on Friday-Saturday, April 12-13 that features Calvin College, North Central College (Illinois) and Wheaton College (Illinois).
