MIAA Academic Honor Roll (2020)

Why did you choose Hope College? I chose Hope College based on its strong science program, small class sizes, and Christian background. I was drawn to the impressive student to faculty ratio and the community vibe that goes on around campus. Not to mention, the campus is beautiful and so close to the beach!

What is your favorite pregame meal or snack? And why? A big breakfast with scrambled eggs, toast (with homemade strawberry jam), and cooked veggies because it fuels me for a long round and obviously tastes amazing.

What is your favorite movie and why? Mama Mia! I absolutely love musicals, and I grew up listening to the ABBA soundtrack with my mom when I was a kid.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? "To thine own self be true." This is something my grandma has always told me and has stuck with me when I've come across difficult situations.

List a favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to you. Romans 8:18 - This was a dear friend's life verse before he met our Father in Heaven after losing his battle with cancer. It allows me to see the bigger picture and put things in perspective.

Please list any service opportunities you plan to be engaged with this year: Both on campus and off campus. (i.e. Mortar Board, CASA, Dance Marathon, Boys & Girls Club). I'm excited to explore many service opportunities during my time at Hope, in particular, Dance Marathon!
