Dana Kym, Hope Women's Lacrosse March Past Trine

Sophomore Dana Kym of Libertyville, Illinois (Libertyville HS), matched her season high in goals to fuel a 13-3 win for the Hope College women's lacrosse team against Trine on Wednesday.

The Flying Dutch raised their record to 4-1 in MIAA play and 5-6 overall. They are in second place in the league standings, one-half behind Calvin.

Kym, pictured, scored the first three goals of the game, staking Hope to a 3-0 lead in the first 3 minute, 23 seconds.

The Flying Dutch built the lead to 7-0 by halftime.

Senior Molly Greenfield of Georgetown, Texas (Georgetown HS), and freshman Lauren Syverson of Northville, Michigan (Northville HS), added two goals apiece for Hope.

Freshman Michaela Biegner of Hillsdale, Michigan (Hillsdale HS), made six saves in goal against Trine (3-6, 0-4 MIAA). 

Hope returns to action on Tuesday with a 6 p.m. match at Olivet.
