The Hope College women's lacrosse team is making its second consecutive appearance, and third overall, in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. semifinal match at second-seeded Saint Mary's.
Today's winner advances to face either top-seeded Calvin or Albion in Saturday's final.
Coach Kim Vincent's Flying Dutch (8-6 overall) are seeded third after posting a 5-2 league record. Their eight wins are their most since they became a varsity program in 2013.
Hope is seeking its first trip to the MIAA Tournament final.
The Flying Dutch lost in the 2016 semifinals 15-6 at Calvin and in the 2013 semifinals to Alma 20-12.
Hope lost its regular-season game with Saint Mary's 13-11 on the road on April 11.
