Four Hope College women's lacrosse players recorded two goals apiece during a 16-9 loss at North Central College (Illinois) on Saturday.
Allison Darnell of Farmington Hills, Michigan (North Farmington HS), Madison McCreery of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford), Carly Pieri of Alto, Michigan (Caledonia) and Paige Wilmer of Columbus, Ohio (Upper Arlington) all scored twice for the Flying Dutch.
Pieri also assisted on two goals.
The Flying Dutch fell to 1-1 on the season after the non-league match.
North Central (2-0 overall) pulled away after scoring 11 goals during the second half. Jessica Deetjen's five goals topped North Central.
Hope's next match is Saturday, March 9 with the 1 p.m. home opener against Lourdes University at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
