Hope College goalkeeper Jordanne Ellingboe has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
The junior from Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS) is receiving the honor for the first time this season and the second time in her career.
Ellingboe is recognized after making 10 saves during a shutout of nationally ranked Washington-St. Louis on Saturday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium. The 15th-ranked Flying Dutch played the Bears to a scoreless draw after 90 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods.
On Friday, Ellingboe totaled seven saves during a 2-2 tie with visiting George Fox (Oregon).
