For the third time in as many games, the 15th-ranked Hope College women's soccer team played 110 minutes to the same conclusion: a double-overtime draw against a non-league opponent. Playing on Friday against host Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, the Flying Dutch recorded a 1-1 tie against the Polar Bears who now have a record of 2-0-1.

Last weekend at home, Hope finished with tie games against George Fox (Ore.) University, 1-1, and against 3rd-ranked Washington University-St. Louis, 0-0.

Junior midfielder Audrey White of Hudsonville (Hudsonville HS), pictured, scored Hope's only goal in the second half to tie the game at the 64:47 mark. It was White's first goal of the season, and she was assisted by sophomore Caroline Burkhardt of Louisville, Ky. (Martha Layne Collins HS).

ONU outshot Hope, 17-13, while the Flying Dutch has more corners than the Polar Bears, 11-7.

Junior goalie Jordanne Ellingboe of Grand Haven (Grand Haven HS) made six saves.

The Flying Dutch (0-0-3) return to action tomorrow, Saturday, September 7, against Capital (Ohio) University at 1 p.m. at ONU.
