Women's Tennis Competes At ITA Regional Tournament

Sophomore Claire Hallock of Lakeland, Florida (Harrison Center HS) went 3-0 in singles play for the Hope College women's tennis team during the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Regional this weekend in Oberlin, Ohio.

Hallock, pictured, defeated Lisa Chionis of Washington-St. Louis 6-1, 6-1, Nicole Cardwell of Case Western Reserve 6-4, 6-3, and Alyssa Rudin of University of Chicago 6-4, 6-4.

Hallock also teamed with junior Taylor LaBarge of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) for a 2-1 record in doubles action, including victories over opponents from Kalamazoo and Washington-St. Louis.

Sophomore Amanda Bandrowski of Traverse City, Michigan (St. Francis) also won two matches as a singles competitor.

The Flying Dutch also received singles wins from senior Natalie Rahrig of Fort Wayne, Indiana (Bishop Luers) and freshman Bailey Chorney of Waunakee, Wisconsin (Waunakee).
