Hope College's Taylor LaBarge has been chosen as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Womn's Tennis Player of the Week.
The senior from Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville HS) won all six matches she played in last week. She helped the nationally ranked Flying Dutch win three matches, including two against MIAA opponents.
At No. 4 singles, LaBarge posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory against Saint Mary's College, a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Trine University and 6-4, 6-0 against regionally ranked Augustana College (Illinois).
LaBarge teamed with freshman Sydney Jackson of Fort Wayne, Indiana (Carroll) at No. 2 doubles for victories of 8-7 (5) against Saint Mary's, 8-1 against Trine and 8-3 against Augustana.
This is the second time in her career LaBarge has been named MIAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week and the first time this season.
