GET TO KNOW
Why did you choose to attend Hope? I chose to attend Hope because after taking a tour of the campus, it felt like home to me. The Hope community is so welcoming and friendly, and I thought it would be a perfect fit for me. I have friends who attend Hope and they absolutely love it, and the more I learned about Hope, the more I thought I would love it too.
If you have chosen a major, please explain how you plan to use it after graduation. I plan to work with at-risk children in a school environment.
List a favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to you: Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."
What is your favorite pre-game music? Anything upbeat, usually some good throwback hip hop.
If you could play another sport, regardless of skill, what would it be? Gymnastics, because I have always regretted quitting when I was little.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Life is unpredictable and no amount of master-planning can keep things exactly as you want them. So, just let go. Let your passions guide you, not your fears.
Please list any service opportunities you plan to be engaged with this year: Both on campus and off campus. (i.e. Mortar Board, CASA, Dance Marathon, Boys & Girls Club). ACT/SAAC, Phi Alpha (National Social Work Honors Society), SWORG (student led sociology and social work organization), HOPEYS, Internship at the Ottawa County Department of Health and Human Services.
