Achien'g surpassed her own top marks in the 60-meter hurdles and the triple jump. Breuker eclipsed her best in the shot put.
In the triple jump, Achien'g recorded a fourth-place leap of 11.03 meters (36 feet, 2 ¼ inches). The senior from Nairobi, Kenya (Kisumu School) previous best was 11.01 meters (36-1 ½).
In the 60-meter hurdles, Achien'g clocked a fourth-place time of 9.10 seconds to surpass her previous best of 9.22.
In the shot put, Breuker, pictured at right, posted a fourth-place shot put of 12.17 meters (39-11 ¼). The sophomore from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS) threw 12.03 meters (39-4 1/2) last season.
Freshman Ana Tucker of Midland, Michigan (H.H. Dow) recorded a fourth-place 1-mile run of 5:07.78.
Two Hope 3,000-meter runners earned points: freshman Anna Mason of Zeeland, Michigan (Libertas Christian) in fifth at 11:09.42 and senior Rebecca Duran of Palatine, Illinois (Palatine) in sixth at 11:12.59.
The Flying Dutch's 4x400 relay came in fifth. Freshman Grace Behrens of Mishawaka, Indiana (Trinity), senior Nicole Kruithof of Byron Center (South Christian), freshman Claire Benedict of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern) and Achieng recorded a time of 4:11.29.
Four Hope runners scored in the 800 meters: senior Chelsea Miskelley of Holland, Michigan (Black River) in fourth at 2:24.71, senior Sally Hansma Grand Rapids, Michigan (Jenison) in fifth at 2:25.30, Tucker in seventh at 2:26.01 and junior Jacinda Cole of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) in eighth at 2:26.70.
Achien'g placed sixth in the 60-meter dash with a run of 8.06 seconds.
Senior Addyson Gerig of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) finished eighth in the triple jump at 10.59 meters (34-9).
Kruithof took eighth in the 400 meters by clocking a time of 1:01.73.
Achien'g came in eighth in the long jump at 5.18 meters (17-0).
Breuker was eighth in the weight throw at 13.68 meters (44-10 ¾).
Senior Hannah Bredeweg of Benton Harbor, Michigan (Stevensvillle-Lakeshore) tied for eighth in the high jump by clearing 1.44 meters (4-8 ¾).
Hope finished sixth as a team with 51.50 points.
